Northumberland Marketplace is a low cost opportunity for selling your crafts and produce online – aimed particularly at small scale businesses who may wish to sell things, but only have a few items to sell, or cannot fund an eCommerce website or are just starting out.
The website is aimed at selling goods from vendors, artists, producers and retailers in Northumberland, Northumbria and the North East region.
How it works….
You send us your information about your goods. We input your product details about your items, prices, images etc onto the website. Each supplier has their own individual section on the website to sell their goods. When a customer places an order online, we send you the order details and you ship the product to the customer directly.
How much does it cost?
There are NO SET UP COSTS OR MONTHLY FEES. You just pay a small commission every time you sell a product.
This way you only pay when your goods are ordered through the site. There are no hidden charges and we deal with the IT stuff.
Your customers will be able to buy your products online and pay for them using Paypal, credit or debit cards, cheque etc. If you already have a static website, we can link your site to Northumberland Marketplace at no extra cost – so your customers can buy online immediately! You will be linked with like minded retailers who sell the best the region has to offer.
This is an excellent way to sell your goods online and you only have to pay a small fee when you sell your items. An eCommerce website, selling your goods online would normally cost thousands of pounds to create and maintain – this way you can test the market without any major outlay. Your local customers can still visit you in markets/fairs etc but be able to buy online in the comfort of their own home as well.

To place an order, you must create an online account with us - you can do this on your first visit to any of the shops in the site. You can then use the same login to place an order in any of the other shops on Northumberland Marketplace.
You will have a unique basket for each shop you visit which means you will need to checkout and pay separately in each shop.
